A senior at Cal State Northridge majoring in Philosophy. I had been tutoring my peers this past semester and in the summer months. I try to keep my lessons clear and short but some topics require more attention and details. Typically I do power points and encourage people to explain the subject at the beginning and end of class to gauge their understanding of it. Discussions are encouraged as it improves ones arguments as well as ones understanding.
I've been teaching since the beginning of the year, so a few months. I've taught several students continuously and a few dozen one-timers. Usually my students are better prepared for tests than others in the same level. For example one of my long time student was the only one in his class to get an A on every single exam for symbolic logic.
I am currently finishing up my bachelors of arts in Philosophy. I have maintained an above average GPA. having earned admiration and respect from my colleagues and professors for my on-going research and my analysis of classical and modern philosophers.
