Piano lessons – Classical/Jazz/Improv/Learn how to compose your own music/Know how to accompany in any style

Methodology

I try as much as possible to adapt to what my student is yearning for while keeping the necessary rigor to develop the musical project. Music in itself is demanding, only in proportion to the openness it brings to the player, beginner or experimented. Being creative, I enjoy developing different kinds of projects, from musical workshops (for improvisation or other themes) to working with a student for a future concert, no matter the previous playing experience.
Goals: acquiring a technique that will enable the student to reach what he/she is aiming for while not forgetting music and its playful aspect.
Music composition: should it be for a group or an individual, we will develop and realize the musical idea, with all the possibilities that are associated to it.

Background

I teach piano since I am 16 years-old. Several of my students have obtained the Baccalauréat with an advanced music option and have brilliantly passed the piano test. Other students have started playing piano with me although they would say that they were too senior; the pleasure they take playing and their progress proves the contrary. Other students yet have learnt how to easily accompany using American musical notation and can now read any pop or jazz music sheet.

Vincent's resume

Vincent Lendower is a composer and concert pianist. He has been awarded a CNR gold medal and has composed the original soundtrack of “La dernière minute” which was nominated in 2004 at the Cannes Festival. In 2005, he won the Reus Festival Music Award, the 6th edition of the Emergence international contest as well as the Talent Cannes contest, alongside Laurent Tirard. Vincent’s passion for the image/sound relation has pushed him to study different music styles and to commit to varied creations. In parallel, he regularly plays on the Parisian scenes, should it be with his own music formations or while accompanying a silent film.

Interview with Vincent

QUESTION 01 | 07
L'instrument suivra.
QUESTION 02 | 07
: #nuits blanches #lecture de notes #fast method for impro... :-)
QUESTION 03 | 07
QUESTION 04 | 07
Vincent — Avoir un but. Savoir être patient et indulgent avec soi. Être ouvert d'esprit et s'émerveiller. Aimer ce que l'on fait.
QUESTION 05 | 07
QUESTION 06 | 07
