Marina's resume

Personal statement

My teaching philosophy is based on the development of every child, through building self-confidence and self-esteem. I believe that children learn through first hand experiences and stimulating environments, which make the learning personal and relevant to the individual.
I am an enthusiastic and creative teacher who is inspired daily through the learning environment I work in, the pupils I teach and the positive feedback gained from both pupils and parents.
My aim, when teaching, is to foster pupil curiosity and develop their understanding of the world. I want to ensure that pupils are able to express their ideas and thoughts.

Hobbies & Interests

I have many interests outside of my profession. I am currently captain crew of one of the most important running clubs in London, called Midnight Runners, where hundreds of runners join us each Tuesday for running and socializing. I am on charge of organizing events, routes, leading and planning. Furthermore, I am training for a half marathon, marathons and triathlons (where I have represented Spain in Poland) and my last achievement has been to run part of Iceland on a self-support run (264km) with a backpack of 17kg. Also, I love art, reading and I have travelled extensively through Europe, for example hiking and climbing in Norway and Mount Meru (fifth highest mountain in Africa 4556m) and I have gained an awareness and appreciation for many cultures what gives me the experience to be a good guide for all Duke of Edinburgh levels and timescales.

Marina worked with us for one year in England as our Spanish teacher and After School care Manager. She is incredibly hard-working, dedicated and is fantastic with children of all ages. Sorry to lose her. LA’s gain is our loss!
