WHO: I am a young professional who is a first generation American and loves all things culture! I would like to a take a new and inclusive approach to teaching ESL but tailoring it based on the knowledge a student already has which is sometimes dismissed in ESL classroom settings.
WHAT: ESL lessons that focus on English as a skill needed for work, school and easier transition into life in the US. We will use a variety of tools such as movies, books, tech and dialogue to practice reading, writing and conversational spoken English based on need.
WHEN: Times that fit your schedule!
WHERE: Homes, libraries, coffee shops etc.
I have been an educator for clients who speak or wish to speak English as a second language for one year and reached about 80 clients. I have seen quick success in their ability to learn ESL skills for life such as explaining what to do in an emergency and how to write and say their home addresses.
We can work on a sliding fee if needed- meaning if you cannot afford the lessons now, I can reduce the price or work on a payment plan that is comfortable.
