Professional ESL instructor and tutor with a degree in Linguistics and experience

Methodology

I am a student led tutor. I follow the pace of my students, and help them fill in gaps as I see fit. I am open to offering instruction on what is most imperative to the student i.e. if they are more concerned with grammar than pronunciation that's what we will focus on.

Background

I hold a B.A. in Applied Linguistics where I learned the foundation of English syntax, morphology, phonology, and phonetics. I have over 5 years of experience tutoring English language learners from many linguistic backgrounds. I specialize in phonetics and can help my students learn to pronounce English with ease. I am also very familiar with the phonology of Spanish, and Semitic languages such as Arabic and Amharic. I am professional, thorough, and take my work very seriously. I understand how learning a new language can be life altering and hope to make this transition easier for my prospective students.
