In terms of methodology, I tend to be a Stanislavski purist, tempered by my own observations. My approach to acting and character development is marked by research, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the world of the play, and of the characters as people. As actors, we strive to understand the characters we play, where they are coming from, and what brought them to where they are mentally and situationally. We then relate this new perspective to our own experience so as to more closely impersonate the figure.
I am a professionally trained actor with a BA in Theatre from Eckerd College. I am thirty years old, and have been acting since my early teens. I was interned at American Stage Theatre Company in the Summer of 2011.
