My teaching style starts in encouraging ways of introducing the building blocks in becoming a pianist. I like to focus on basic music theory, but also enjoy incorporating music games, interactive piano apps, and other supplemental materials into my students lessons. I am a low-intensity instructor who believes a student learns music best if they’re allowed to learn at their own pace, and go in each lesson with the philosophy that every students path to musical success is a very personal and unique journey.
I have worked as a piano teacher for 3 years now, and have experience teaching students as young as 4-Adult. While obtaining my Music Education degree for voice, I also earned my college proficiency in piano. My first love was playing the piano. As a teacher, my goal is to help students find who they are and what potential they have to grow in each of our lessons. I have been trained in classical piano for most of my life, and my teaching style reflects the best of what I learned through my many music teachers growing up. I teach music because I love helping others appreciate music in new ways, and treat each of my students as individuals.
