The underpinning basis for my teaching methodology is differentiation-this is particularly important when tutoring a variety of students.
I carefully break lessons down into achievable parts to give students confidence, set clear criteria for success, offer examplars wherever possible and try to convey my enthusiasm for my subject.
I have worked as an English teacher and school librarian for over twenty years in a variety of sectors from a large comprehensive to an independent boys' school. I am familiar with the new GCSE curriculum and particularly enjoy working 1:1 to help students reach their highest potential.
I have a cancellation policy for lessons. Lessons must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or will be charged.
