I teach a Vaganova-based classical ballet class, a pointe class, and a contemporary class, as well as tap and jazz for beginner dancers. I also offer specialized training classes to improve flexibility, strength, jumps, turns, and stability/balance. I am eager to adapt each of my classes to best suit your individual interests and needs!
I began my ballet training at All American Classical Ballet School and attended summer intensives at Ballet West, Next Generation Ballet, and Texas Ballet Theater. I attended the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance at the University of Southern California for one year, where I trained in ballet, partnering, contemporary, hip hop, and improvisation and composition. Here, I learned from visionaries such as William Forsythe, Desmond Richardson, and Victor Quijada and had the opportunity to perform repertory from Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Netherlands Dance Theater, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company. I also danced in short films for the USC School of Cinematic Arts, including one choreographed by Tyce Diorio.
I transferred to the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, where I continued my ballet training at Pofahl Studios. I taught contemporary dance for Danza, a dance club on campus, and choreographed and performed a solo for FRANK Gathering, a scholarly conference.
I have experience with leading both private lessons and group classes for dancers of all ages and levels.
