My teaching method is based on an "I do, We do, You do", starting with a learning goal and objective that has a check for understanding. Then moving to the "I do" which typically involves a visual review and reminder to students that models and explains what we are working on. Then the "we do" moves into an engaging activity that involves the topic that we just went over. Lastly, the students will have an opportunity for their "you do" which allows them to practice using the skills independently. Sometimes these will be as simple as an exit ticket, which they would have to fill out before the lesson is over.
Recent graduate from Castleton University in Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology, also have minors in Statistics and Women Gender Studies. Spent a year after graduation serving with City Year Chicago, where I was assisting an 8th grade math and science classroom. I would write and delivered lesson plans based to small groups. By the end of the year I was able to see 80% growth on NWEA scores of all my students.
