« I took one of her classes where she taught a 100 level Anatomy course. Honestly, she's got some good, straight to the point, tips of how to learn anatomy. Some people out there might say some negative things, but let's be honest...there's a lot of material. Do your work, show some effort, ask her honest questions and you'll be golden. »

Recent Master graduate in Human Biology with 6 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

Methodology

My teaching methodology is whatever works best for the students! I create an initial framework to start with and then adapt and amend this to help suit the students' learning needs. I am happy to create a variety of different assignments to help students progress through their learning, and like to set mini-goals along the way to help motivate my students.

Background

I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and just recently completed my Master of Science in Human Biology. I taught a chemistry lab at Michigan State University for three years and taught an anatomy course at the University of Indianapolis. Additionally, I have tutor experience from the University of Indianapolis.

Erica Cantor was my professor in Anatomy at University of Indianapolis. I found her to be an excellent and fair instructor. She makes her point clear and concise with remarking descriptions and examples. She uses PowerPoint, stories and personal experiences to teach. She keeps control of her classroom through respect and humor. She is open to assisting students which allows them to believe her desire for the student’s success. I highly recommend Erica for all those reasons. If I had the opportunity to take a class from her again, I would in a heartbeat. I learned successfully from her in that particular course.
