When I teach I start with the basics of the topic and like to provide examples in which I demonstrate how to approach the problem and then help the student to solve it. I like to relate topics to each other when necessary and to pause where any confusion arises and back track whenever its needed to ensure understanding.
I am majoring in a STEM field and I have tutored high school students in math for a year and a half. I have helped at least 15 unique students, many who return for more understanding. These students go on to retake tests for better scores, have an easier time with homework assignments, and understanding lessons.
The level of the student does not alter the rate at all.
I was nominated outstanding math student of the year out of the entire senior class in 2018 for aiding other students with patience while succeeding and improving myself. I also received a math student of the month award in 2016 for Algebra 2.
Reese is very patient, and a well-rounded individual. I highly recommend her services, because of a few notable features she possesses. She's incredibly knowledgeable but if there is anything she's not completely and confidently certain of, you'll be assured in the fact she will always do her research until she's able to give you confident feedback. She naturally creates an environment in which you're comfortable enough to learn and ask questions without the fear of judgment or pressure that is commonly placed on students by other peers. She has always made it a priority to get to know her students, in an effort to better understand what techniques of teaching would be most beneficial to her students. Despite the obvious benefits from a good tutor, you must also consider how beneficial it would be for a struggling student to be in a comfortable learning environment, and obtain both one on one time with a tutor who will validate them as an individual, rather than another passing student. Despite the numerous good things I could continue on about this amazing, young individual I'm going to leave it in your hands, and hope you make the smart, and beneficial decision of choosing Reese as your tutor.
