Seasoned teacher, with a compassionate heart, providing ESL lessons to adults at all levels

Methodology

I have a BS in Elementary Education and an MA in Early Childhood Education. I have taught at all levels from pre-K and elementary through college and adult education. I have a true love for teaching and have been a teacher my entire life. Learning from my students is the most rewarding part of my job, and my positive attitude is my most outstanding attribute. I have taught English to students from all over the world. Citizenship preparation is another area where I have assisted students and I find this work very rewarding. I believe in personalized learning and I work to get to know each of my students so that we may develop the best instructional plan together, based on their individual goals and background.

Background

I have been teaching ESL for five years and have attended intensive professional development (graduate level) during summers to familiarize myself with all best practices in the field. My students have ranged in age from 18 to 75 and have represented over 60 different countries. I have helped numerous students progress to the next level of ESL and assimilate into American culture with the use of their language skills. I also have assisted students in the preparation for passing their citizenship examinations.
