My teaching depends on the student. I want to teach younger people, such as middle school, elementary school, or freshmen students, and who are beginner or intermediate violinists striving and working hard to become better. My lessons will include working through their repertoire, or giving them more, and also working on their technique. My goal, is not only to make the musicians better, but also have fun with their instrument and learn how to practice well and efficiently. I have not taught before, but everyone has something to learn. As I am in high school, I will be available to teach almost anytime on the weekends, and after 4:00 on Wednesdays.
I am a junior in high school, and have been very committed to playing the violin for the past 9 years. My teacher currently is Fred Lifsitz, the second violinist of the Alexander String Quartet, in San Francisco. In the past, I have played in a full orchestra for 5 years, and I went to Interlochen Arts Camp this past summer for six weeks of experience in orchestra playing, chamber music, and development in my solo playing.
I give my first lesson for free! The distance to my house is relatively far to places such as Redwood City or San Francisco, so I charge less overall. Also, my rate does not increase as the level of student increases, it only depends on the time we spend together in a lesson.
