When speaking about teaching methods, I think that it really depends on the students learning styles and how best he/she retains new and sometimes quite difficult tasks like learning new vocabulary words for an upcoming exam or understanding the true difference between the two types of past tenses Spanish has that English does not. When connecting with my student i always make sure to ask if they are understanding what I am teaching them and then have them explain it back to me to prove it and enhance the memory all at once. It's usually a slam dunk if the student is invested in the process.
After getting a perfect score on my AP exam in high school, I was quickly drawn to take it up as a whole lifestyle and began really speaking it every chance I had. At CSUN it was my major for 2 and a half years prior to deciding to change my major to Communications out of pure interest. I remain someone very competent in all of the small and important details when learning the language and have been told I can communicate this knowledge in a fun and effective manner. If you want to really get a good grade, or better yet, learn how to truly communicate in Spanish, I believe I would be a wonderful fit and would love to become your tutor.
