Spanish Teacher with over 10 years of experience and examiner of DELE exams

Methodology

Each student approaches foreign language education with their own jumble of motivations, skills, interests and personal experiences. Some will have a natural ear for language while others will struggle. You will face different personal learning obstacles, from grammar to pronunciation, but I will always provide you resources designated to get you familiar with foreign vocabulary and grammar in a fun, friendly, totally approachable way, and I will also include you materials for all levels.

We will work and learn together, making projects, exploring the language and its culture. A full immersion in the Spanish language. Learn Spanish with me and I guarantee that you will speak very soon.

Background

I am Spanish and PE teacher with experience in Spain, UK (London) and USA. I teach MFL in primary, high schools, Bussiness and also private tutoring. In the past few years, I have tough Spanish in some elite London´s schools.

Hobbies & Interests
________________________________________

I have many interests outside of my profession. I am currently captain crew of one of the most important running clubs in London, called Midnight Runners, where hundreds of runners join us each Tuesday for running and socializing. I am on charge of organizing events, routes, leading and planning. Furthermore, I am training for a half marathon, marathons and triathlons (where I have represented Spain in Poland) and my last achievement has been to run part of Iceland on a self-support run (264km) with a backpack of 17kg. Also, I love art, reading and I have travelled extensively through Europe, for example hiking and climbing in Norway and Mount Meru (fifth highest mountain in Africa 4556m) and I have gained an awareness and appreciation for many cultures what gives me the experience to be a good guide for all Duke of Edinburgh levels and timescales.

She is a wonderful student who I was pleased to meet. She has a really good level of Spanish and I am really inspired by the fact she started learning the language by herself. Keep rocking!

I have known Marina as a colleague and a friend for a number of years. In everything she does, she applies all her energy, focus and creativity. In her capacity as a teacher, she was loved and respected by her pupils and colleagues alike. She is extremely organised and committed to provide her pupils with well-planned lessons. This allows her to share her subject knowledge so that pupils feel supported and challenged in striving to reach their potential.

Shirley

Marina worked with us for one year in England as our Spanish teacher and After School care Manager. She is incredibly hard-working, dedicated and is fantastic with children of all ages. Sorry to lose her. LA’s gain is our loss!
