Hello! I am an American native-speaker who currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. My father was British and I spent a quarter-year of high-School in the UK. I've been giving ESL lessons since April 2016 and have taught from 1 - 30 students at a time. I also teach Hospitality and Business to adult international students in a classroom setting.
The focus of my lessons is always the student's objectives. First, we chat and I find out what the student needs. Then I deliver a lesson that focuses on those objectives. Be it accent reduction, improved vocabulary or sentence construction, I find a way for my students to grow in their area of need. This personal approach is enjoyable and effective for my students.
Superprofs is an attractive option for me because I'll be able to work with my students over time and help them grow and develop. Other online platforms don't offer that continuity with students. Continuity is a key element of success!
Let me know know I can help you succeed with English.

Great work on vocabulary, idioms & writing last week! How is your writing coming along? Stay warm, Lynda
Perfect! Just had my the second class, Lynda is passionate and well-prepared to fit my needs. She understands my goal and works out the best approach for me. I'm positive about my progress with the help of Lynda!
The first class with Angel was definitely a success! Angel is very motivated to improve her spoken English. We will have weekly classes and track her progress towards her goals. I’m sure she will proceed at an excellent pace!
I've worked with Lynda at CSI for since she started here. Lynda has always been a responsible and thorough teacher who was passionate about teaching her students and knowledgeable about the curriculum. I've managed her teaching program and now teach as a fellow adjunct instructor and in both situations she has been shown to be exemplary in the classroom. I fully recommend her for this teaching opportunity.
She is a special teacher! She cares about her students, she knows how to clarify our questions and the way that she explain is absolutely amazing!
I am so glad that God gave me her as a teacher. She is helping me a lot!! And I am sure that she will help somebody else...
Lynda is a driven, dedicated educator who cares about her students and has a real passion for her work.
I've known Lynda since 2001, when we attended Graduate schools at UMass, Amherst and worked as colleagues, as Teaching Assistants to the same Professor. In our assignments, we both worked with a group of 15-20 Undergraduate students for the entire semester, closely working with them to hone their management, culinary and operational skills, managing a functioning restaurant.
I've seen Lynda work closely with her students, and sharing her knowledge about the Hospitality Industry, through years of extensive experience, and mentoring them one-on-one, leading them to success in their future careers.
I've also closely worked with Lynda for a couple of years during our time together at Graduate school, on several projects and assignments, and found her to be very details-oriented and someone who relied on research and empirical data, before coming to a conclusion on any of the several topics we studied over the years.
Post graduation, I've known Lynda to a very hardworking and dedicated person, who enjoys life, people and opportunities and challenges, that she takes in her stride with a smile and positive attitude.
Lynda is a nice, smart and discipline teacher. She taught us the hospitality classes in CSI and she was always well prepared and structured the content that she wanted to deliver. What I like her the most is she always speaks with smile, which I can a see a warm heart from inside.
Lynda is very social ,it makes her easy to approach and her communication skills is extraordinary which make the students at ease to learn and understand
