I believe instruction needs to be relevant and rigorous and FUN! I treat all students with respect and teach students to take responsibility for their own learning. To achieve that goal I endeavor to match the correct approach and resource(s) to meet each individual student's needs. I provide tutoring to all students of all ages using their strengths to build their weaknesses. If learning is fun, and success is met a student is likely to want to repeat learning!

Background

I have more than twenty years of education experience. I cannot count how many students I have taught. My students have met with great success. Always leaving me reading, writing, and exploring the world above grade level, but more importantly as life-long learners.


Lessons should be exciting educational experiences that are packed with content, but fun, and motivate the student to want to learn/do more on their own after the lesson is over. I like to teach using games, experiments, stories, local history or culture, and make things relevant to a student's own life. That way they can relate to what is being taught and why it is useful for them to know.

Rate for online lessons : $30/h
Rate for 5 hours of lessons : $160
Rate for 10 hours of lessons : $320

Details

24 hours notice is needed to cancel a session. Rescheduling a lesson will be attempted. However, if this cannot be accomplished you will be responsible for paying for the lesson.
