As a freelance artist my work stems from years of study and techniques learned from attending the School of Visual Arts. Skills such as composition and design have been the most important, I my opinion, and education on these is vital inorder to execute work that is in demand in today's industry.
By studying the many styles of artists today the student will learn to compose and design through exercises and lessons geared on these aspects.
After mastering composition and design, students will study techniques for rendering work in pencil, ink, paint, or computer graphics. If they have a particular area of study they wish to learn, guidance will be provided to help dissect the works of professional artists today.
I have taught as a private teacher and substitute teacher for a few years in NYC. From basic math to advanced Photoshop classes, my experiences with students are based on where they stand in their artistic journey, no two students are identical.
With a B.F.A. In visual communication from the School of Visual Arts, and an A.A.S from the Katharine Gibbs School (now closed), I have worked as a Designer, Retoucher, Freelance Artist, and Illustrator for various organizations.
