I curtail each class to what the student is most keen on learning. However, I generally like to do scene study, theatre games, preparing monologues for auditions, audition technique, text analysis and viewpoints exercises. Through these, I increase the students' love for theatre, decrease stage fright, build interpersonal skills and create a strong sense for the character's objectives, and how to get those objectives.
I am a recent graduate from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in theatre, emphasizing in acting and playwriting. I have been acting for more than 5 years, and am an active professional in the San Diego theatre industry.
I am a recent graduate from UCSD with a degree in theatre. My last production at UCSD was the new play by Lily Padilla "How to Defend Yourself", directed by Kim Rubinstein. This play is now being workshopped at the Ojai Playwright's Conference and at IGNITION festival of new plays in Chicago. I am currently in the production "Smokefall" from local theatre company Backyard Renaissance which will open at the Shank Theatre of the La Jolla Playhouse in mid August.
At UCSD I studied viewpoints under Kim Rubinstein, scene study under Robert Castro movement under Natalie Robichaux and Freeing the Voice under Ursula Meyer. As a result, I have a wide and comprehensive platform from which will I draw in my lessons. I will tap into both the visceral and intellectual demands of being an actor who is ready to embark on the road of discovering their character. I look forward to guiding you on your journey of playing and training to become a better and more skilled artist.
