Ph.D. & University Lecturer Offering Writing/Reading/ English Tutoring in the Bay Area

Methodology

My approach to helping students (ranging from college freshman to college seniors) with writing is to break down the assignment in manageable smaller parts and to slowly build on their existing skills. Through this writing process, my aim is also to help students grapple with and understand complex ideas.

Background

I have eight years experience in higher education as a graduate teaching assistant, graduate student instructor, and lecturer at UC Santa Cruz and SF State. In these capacities, I have coached students throughout all stages of the writing process- from outlines and drafts to feedback on graded work.
