Hello! I'm so excited you've taken the time to read this. Welcome! My love of languages started in high school when I first took German. Since then, I have graduated with a B.A. in German and Russian from USC - Columbia and have acquired tutoring and teaching experience for German, Russian, and Spanish through study abroad, university, and my teaching position. I am currently now teaching Spanish to middle and high school.
I work with my students to tailor lesson plans that best meet them where they are in their language abilities with their learning style taken into account. We discuss language goals and together, create tangible small steps that lead to the next! Each student is unique, and I ensure that each student is challenged as needed. My heart is ultimately to equip others so that they can equip others!
I am a 2015 college graduate, and I have been tutoring since my junior year in college! I have tutored students ranging from ages 5-50! I believe everyone has the ability to LEARN a language. It may not be your ultimate gifting, but everyone has the ability, and I love working from that foundation. I enjoy cultivating an environment where good hard work lead lead to tangible fruit! I have a heart to encourage each student where they are and pull out their strengths and strengthen their weaknesses. I have walked alongside students as they took a language class, helped students prepare to study abroad, and helped students study for proficiency exams. The personal best is equipping students with tools that will aid them in life as well!
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, but do offer makeup lessons. I look forward to hearing from you!

Katya is an excellent tutor, she is extremely knowledgeable. I have been taking German lessons for nearly a year now and I can't express how much she has helped me to advance in my knowledge of the language. She's able to answer every question that I have and is very patient when you're slow to pick up on a concept.
