I have over 8 years experience and can create a lesson plan geared to your needs, to teach you what is important to you: business, grammar,conversation...I believe that learning should be interactive and fun, that styles of learning vary, and that everyone should be allowed to learn to the best of his or her ability.
I have been teaching Language Arts for over fifteen years, ESL for eight. I've taught university students in China, park staff in the Colombian Amazon jungle, students from around the world at an international school in Los Angeles, and migrant children in California.

Perfect! My girlfriend and I had about 13 lessons. We worked especially on conversation skills. She prepared me perfectly for an important business meeting. Ruby was very flexible regarding the timing and location of the our sessions. I definitely recommend her as a language teacher if you are looking for a professional, open-minded, very friendly and very funny tutor.
Stefan and his friend, Carina are model students. On-time, motivated, and professional, they do their grammar homework and enjoy lively conversation, which includes both general & specific topics geared to use the grammar they're learning.
I met Ruby while I was living in Los Angeles, California, in 2011. Not only I was able to obtain the TOEFL certificate, but I had a fully understanding of the American culture. As a teacher she is able to understand what a student needs, but what makes her the best is the fact that she is a wonderful person. Being in class with her is the perfect mix between having a conversation with a friend and class with a college professor. I could never think about a better person to recommend as a English teacher.
I have not met a person who does not love Ruby. I mean adore. Ruby's students are all over the world and when it's time for her to move on, from someplace like China, where she taught English to an eager assembly of students, they beg her to stay. People are drawn to Ruby, people of all ages, and she knows how to engage her students, friends and acquaintances, and make them feel smart, loved and anxious to participate in conversation. Though it's a cliche, I have to say that Ruby lights up any room or space she walks into; she makes people smile and laugh. I can't think of any better attributes for a teacher. Ruby is certified, capable and sincere.
