From the age of 4 my parents put me behind the piano. I had private lessons every week with some of the best teachers for classical music. Before beginning school, I was already able to read sheet music. I continued into studying voice where I was the president of my school choir as well as took more private lessons. I skipped out an opportunity to study music in college and instead focused on studying chemistry. Then after graduating my heart had really missed playing and in 2014 I joined a heavy metal band as the keyboard player and completely switched to being a career musician after completely falling in love with performance and composition. I started teaching a little over a year ago and have kept 100% retention with over 20 students. My students love that I teach them whatever they want to learn. If the want to dig into classics and learn how to read music then we do that. If they want to skip reading then we learn chord progressons and theory and they write their own charts and play in band. I even write sheet music for my readers using a music notation software. I teach piano and voice predominantly but am picking up a few students on guitar. I can teach audio engineering and how to get the best sound for any song.
I have been teaching music for the 2 years. The last year, I have really tailored teaching as my career and take students as they come. Currently I hold around 25 private students on a weekly basis. My achieved students play in bands and have been able to take what we learn together in front of live audiences.
My rates are as followed:
At instructors studio - $35 for half an hour and $45 for a full hour
At students home - $40 for half an hour and $50 for a full hour
Skype or FaceTime - $30 for half an hour and $40 for a full hour
Currently I am a published artist, working on creating a greater repertoire of piano performance. I have played in an original band, as well as several cover bands. I work on create video tutorials to my students and followers.
